There are two endorsements available in New Mexico in the area of technology -- information technology coordinator and technology education. To add either of the endorsements, you are required to have earned a minimum of 24 semester hours. If you’re adding the endorsement to an elementary or special education license, the hours can be lower division. If you’re adding to a PreK-12, middle level or secondary license, 12 of the 24 semester hours must be upper division level (300 and above). Please note that there is also an alternative route for completing the information technology coordinator endorsement.
