The New Mexico Public Education Commission honored Education Secretary Veronica C. García at their meeting September 12, 2008 for receiving the National Governor’s Association (NGA) Award for Distinguished Service to State Government. New Mexico Public Education Commission recognizes Dr. Pauline Rindone for her years of service to education in New Mexico.  Dr. Rindone will retire on September 30, 2008 from her duties as Executive Director of the Legislative Education Study Committee.
